Enrollment Process for Existing APS Families

Returning Students

Enrollment for all returning students is online via your Infinite Campus Parent Portal during the enrollment window in the late spring.
The process is self-explanatory and you will be walked through each step. You can save your application at any time and return later to complete and submit your registration.
When completing the online registration process, you will need to provide information regarding your student such as family relationships, contacts, and medical notes. You may need to attach or upload a few documents, including the following:
- Only required for all 6th grade students: 702 KAR 1:160 requires each child entering Grade 6 to present a Kentucky Preventative Health Care Examination Form. If your child is entering sixth grade, please schedule this exam prior to beginning the online enrollment process as you will be asked to upload the form.
- Required for any students that plan to participate in an Extracurricular Athletic Activity: A current KHSAA Middle School Athletic Participation/Physical Examination/Parental and Student Consent and Release. (Please note that all six (6) pages must be fully completed, along with required signatures for students, to be eligible to participate.)
Digital Back-to-School Checklist
A digital Back-to-School Checklist is emailed to all families in July. The digital checklist includes items such as payment of student fees, purchase or rental of middle school Chromebooks, and other items important to your child being ready for the new school year. New Students with Siblings that Have Attended Anchorage School
Enrollment for all students new to the district can be accessed online. When completing the online registration process, you will need to provide information regarding your student such as family relationships, emergency contacts, and medical notes. You will need to upload several documents, including the following:
- Birth Certificate (If a birth certificate is unavailable, please contact the school for alternate official documents that meet Kentucky public school student enrollment requirements.)
- Proof of a preventative health care examination conducted within one year prior to the initial entry.
- Commonwealth of Kentucky Certificate of Immunization Status
- Proof of an eye examination by an optometrist or ophthalmologist, documented in the Kentucky School Eye Exam Form
- Proof of a dental screening or examination by a dentist, dental hygienist, physician, registered nurse, advanced registered nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, is documented on the Kentucky Dental Screening Form (Parents of kindergarten students have up until January 1 of the kindergarten year to submit the dental screening form).
- Completed Kentucky Preventative Health Care Examination Form.

If your child will be entering kindergarten, you will receive information regarding the date and time to bring them in for Kentucky's Common Kindergarten Entry Screener, the BRIGANCE Early Childhood Kindergarten Screen III. This assessment provides a quick and accurate assessment of a child's development in five areas: Academic/Cognitive, Language, Development, Physical Development, Self-Help and Social-Emotional Development.
